The International Classification of Diseases (ICD) is used to classify diseases for many health information management purposes. Some examples include studying the health of the general population, reimbursement, resource allocation and service quality. ICD-10 is the tenth revision of the classification system and is currently in use in Australia, Canada and Germany. The United States will begin official use of ICD-10 on October 10, 2013. This website offers resources to those who are looking to learn more about ICD-10 as well as prepare for ICD-10 implementations.
